Joseph Kanimian Elected Ararat Home Chairman
MISSION HILLS: The Ararat Home of Los Angeles Board of Trustees has elected Attorney Joseph Kanimian as its chairman. At the Annual Membership Meeting on March 3, 2013, outgoing Chairman Nazar Ashjian Jr.remarked, “I am certain that you will be very pleased with Joe Kanimian as your new chairman. He has demonstrated his care for the Home through many years of service.”
Joseph Kanimian, active in many organizations, is a former chairman of the Diocesan Council of the Armenian Church, Western Diocese. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region, and chairs its Gift Planning Committee. He is a founding board member of House of Armenia, a non profit charitable organization and serves on the Endowment Fund Committees of the Western Diocese and Ararat Home. Mr. Kanimianis a recipient of the St. Nerses Shnorhali Medal from His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians for his many years of volunteer service to the Armenian Church.
Since his late father, Krikor, was a resident at Ararat Home, Mr. Kanimian has personal knowledge of the excellent care the Home administers. “My sincere appreciation to all the administrators, employees, the Auxiliary groups and the Guilds for their dedication and support of the Home, and my gratitude to my fellow board members for their trust and confidence in me.
